Lectio Divina 153

Swami Sri Yukteswar Giri, quoted in Hinduism Today, July/August/September 2013, 18.

Quotations there have been, in superabundance.  But what original commentary can you supply from the uniqueness of your particular life?  What holy text have you absorbed and made your own?  In what ways have these timeless truths renovated your nature?  Are you content to be a hollow phonograph, mechanically repeating the words of other men?

When is it time to stop studying others and embody our own wisdom? Sometime we may think we are being humble by deferring to the wisdom of others when actually we are afraid to be our wisest selves. Take a step and your own path appears.

Silence seems to be the most original commentary I can supply from the uniqueness of my particular life, especially at this moment in time. Many perceptions are changing within me, as transitions seem to be constant, leading me to see change as an ongoing process, rather than the means to a different destination. Presently I feel capable simply to experience this swirl, without finding much original commentary, just my particular life.
